Site context
The site comprises the first floor, purpose buit 30’s stlye maisonette within a two-storey semi-detached property, and a small rear garden.
The property is at the end of the cul-de-sac next to the turning space and there are small front and rear gardens. Most of the dwellings have small rear gardens, as does this property, which backs onto the gardens of houses in Merton Hall Gardens.
A loft conversion is proposed to provide a large space with velux windows above living room in the front & rear slope and above bathroom and staircase on the side slope providing natural light without a domer extension. This loft conversion has been designed to be in keeping with the existing building’s roof shape.
