Camden Stable Market

Retail design

Description

The site of this project is located in the Camden stables market which is historically renovated from old stables into allocations of retail shops. The main requirements form client are maximum flexibility in given volume about 200m2 of ground floor. He even want to have fashion show in his shop. In addition, a mezzanine floor is in need of in order to increase retail space. Because Client’s existing location has a problem of accessibility, we needed a strong tactic to overcome this drawback.

We developed his ideas of maximum flexibility into a dramatic shopping atmosphere with designing transformable display unit, we name it as MAX. Due to MAX’s performance such as rotation, moving and transformation of its derivatives, we, as architects, set out layout formations; general formation, island shop, and mixture of performance and shopping. That is a strategy to enhance brand value for client to get better of accessibility.
