Description

Young In architects in collaboration with Leonard design architects has been approached by Lotte Corporation, To design Interior design service for over 10,000sqm of Song-pa underground square and three link lobbies in 2012 since then our company has been working on this project from concept to working design an currently works as design coordinator until completion.

Songpa Square, located in the heart of the busy Jamsil-dong neighbourhood of Seoul, is a hub for commuters arriving by train, bus and cars and connects two of the largest retail developments in Seoul. LDA and Youngin architects was appointed to deliver a modern and dynamic space, improve people flows and enhance customer experience in a challenging existing underground environment. The 160x60m subterranean square is a one level public realm space that provides commuters with shops, restaurants, community facilities and space to rest and relax. Work scope consisted of concept design to final tender documentation in 8 months. This public realm will be the Korea’s largest underground public space linking various subways with contemporary, modern retail emporium whilst improve public flow.
